Job description

) Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a full-time Director of Dining Services to join our team!
As the department head, you oversee the dining department's operations, including ordering, staffing, and planning, to ensure our residents receive delicious, nutritious meals that meet their care needs. Salaried role ranging from $36 to $39 an hour.
Education and Experience:
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have completed an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association and state agencies.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisor capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical field is preferred.
  • Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.

Duties:
  • Ensure that safety precautions, life safety, and infection control policies and procedures are followed during the daily work assignments.
  • Must be able to prepare food that is nutritionally balanced.
  • Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out the duties of this department.
  • Follow company budget guidelines.
  • Order and monitor use of supplies and equipment minimizing waste and misuse of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain a reference library of written material, laws, etc. necessary for complying with current standards and regulations.
  • Complete paperwork requirements on schedule and in an accurate, appropriate manner. Work with a minimum of error while paying attention to detail.
  • Work with Administration in planning for educational programs that will upgrade the competency of the dietary staff.
  • Interview and hire all dietary staff
