This role is ideal for a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM, CFPP) with assisted living or healthcare dining experience who is passionate about resident satisfaction, food quality, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.

Position Summary
The Dining Services Director is responsible for the overall management and success of the Dining Services Department within our assisted living community. This role ensures high standards of food quality, customer service, sanitation, nutrition compliance, and operational efficiency while staying within budgetary guidelines.
The Dining Services Director plays a critical role in enhancing resident satisfaction and quality of life by delivering safe, nutritious, and appealing meals in a hospitality-focused senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of senior living dining services / healthcare food service operations
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, including sanitation and food safety standards
  • Maintain CDM/CFPP compliance, menu standards, and dietary guidelines
  • Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management of dining team members
  • Manage food and supply ordering, inventory control, portion control, and cost management
  • Develop and implement resident-focused menus that support nutrition, preferences, and special diets
  • Ensure excellence in customer service, hospitality, and resident engagement
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation, safety standards, and infection control best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to support resident care and satisfaction
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture aligned with Charter's mission and values

Required Qualifications
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) - required
  • Assisted Living, Senior Living, or Healthcare Food Service leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of dietary regulations, food safety, sanitation, and nutrition standards
  • Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
