Registered Nurse, Infection Prevention & Employee Health โ€“ Grand Junction, CO | Mondayโ€“Friday 8am-5pm| $10,000 Sign-On Bonus


Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00amโ€“5:00pm
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Pay Range: $36.20โ€“$40.05/hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The Infection Prevention & Employee Health Nurse (RN) leads HopeWestโ€™s organization-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program and oversees employee health and safety practices related to infectious disease prevention.

This role is responsible for infection surveillance, regulatory compliance, employee exposure management, immunization programs, and staff education across all service lines. The position partners closely with People Operations and Clinical Leadership to ensure a safe environment for employees, patients, and participants while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Infection prevention and/or employee health experience preferred
  • 5-7 years of RN experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years hospice, PACE, geriatric care, home health/community-based nursing.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain within 12โ€“24 months
  • Valid Colorado driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation with adequate automobile insurance

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a variety of environments, including administrative offices, clinical settings, and patient homes.
  • Travels regularly between HopeWest locations, including regional offices and service areas (e.g., Grand Junction, Montrose, and other service sites), to support infection prevention activities, rounding, and staff education.
  • Travels to off-site locations as needed for meetings, training, or regulatory activities.
  • Subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and frequent driving.
  • Encounters a range of physical environments within patient homes, including varying levels of cleanliness, space limitations, and potential safety risks (e.g., fall hazards, fire safety concerns, environmental exposures).
  • May be required to respond to urgent situations, including infectious disease exposures or outbreak investigations.
