Job Description

Role Purpose

Creative Director, Motion Design directs and oversees motion design, imagery, and graphics for all NBC Entertainment brand and content. This position reports to the Vice President Branding and Motion Design, NBC Entertainment Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evolve, and lead motion design for title and brand video marketing for all NBC Entertainment placements, outlets and properties
  • Work directly with IATSE motion designers/animators/production artists to drive the creation of visually bold, culturally relevant campaigns that break through across broadcast, streaming, digital, social, experiential, and out-of-home platforms
  • Interface with Motion Design Creative Directors and Project Management to balance workload across internal designers and external agencies
  • Lead ideation and creative development for title-related motion branding and talent capture shoots
  • Proactively collaborate with creative peers in NBC Marketing, including Static Design, Creative Content, Project Management, Operations and Shoots teams
  • Form and maintain professional working relationships with top out-of-house resources and agencies, and direct their day-to-day work on select motion projects/assignments
  • Engage and partner with teams across NBC Entertainment, including Brand Strategy, Consumer Engagement, Social, Communications, Shoots, as well as across the NBCU portfolio, including Peacock, Sports, News and Cable nets

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Minimum 10 years of agency advertising and/or television creative marketing experience
  • Minimumย 8ย yearsย in senior designย creative role, managing team of 5+
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
  • Excellent working knowledge of 3D pipeline(s), creative, and software, with Cinema4D preferred
  • Significant Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint), Slack, Airtable, and Figma (or similar collaborative design tools)
  • Must be willing toย travel to motion branding shoots and professional conventions and events

Additional Requirements

  • This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $155,000 - $200,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible).
