Job description

The Inclusive Excellence Consultant supports the advancement of AmFam Group's strategy by strengthening culture, belonging, and leader capability in ways that improve the employee experience, support talent outcomes, and reduce employment risk. You will help embed inclusive practices into leadership, workforce decisions, BRG governance, and change efforts, supporting organizational effectiveness and long-term business performance. You will provide expertise and execution support in culture and belonging programs, leader enablement, BRG governance, and inclusive talent practices. You will report to the Director, Inclusion and Talent.
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from Madison, WI 53783

Position Compensation Range:

$99,000.00 - $167,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will lead and participate in integrated teams across the areas of research, strategy and operations.
  • You will conduct research in support of long-term strategies and objectives.
  • You will leverage research, trends, best practices, and societal and community insights to guide the department leadership team in the development of comprehensive multi-year strategy and client deliverables to achieve the mission/vision.
  • You will guide leadership through scenario analysis and opportunity identification so they can make strategic choices to enable competitive advantage.
  • You will challenge assumptions and ask tough questions to improve strategy development and arrive at productive solutions.
  • You will articulate strategic assumptions and prioritize and communicate them to division leadership to focus company efforts and work priorities.
  • You will serve as people and program data strategy partner utilizing reporting, metrics and scorecards.
  • You will build trust and rapport with leadership, enabling and improving strategy development and execution.
  • You will lead the team in translating the divisional strategy into a comprehensive framework of initiatives. Defines the road map to achieve desired results.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting research and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating business trends and developing new business programs and strategies in response.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting complex concepts to leadership and influencing decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated experience solving business problems through leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of strategic frameworks and concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience as a big-picture thinker and strategist; able to organize work plans and details for successful execution.
  • Travel requirements up to 10%.

This experience is held in person at our Madison, WI Headquarters or one of our AmFam core locations to help you connect with our mission, meet key team members and build relationships that support your growth. At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.

Additional Qualifications

  • Robust employment law experience required
  • Strong understanding of evolving EEOC guidelines and federal mandates
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, counseling and influencing both horizontally and upwards

  • Experience enabling cultural events and BRG participation.
