The position develops and secures approval of goals and objectives for assigned areas of responsibility. The position develops and implements plans and budgets necessary to achieve goals. She/he will seek and consult with other functions to ensure effective and efficient coordination of effort. The position may be worked through subordinate managers and/or supervisors in overseeing and directing the work of supervisory and non-supervisory employees. The director monitors changes in the regulatory requirements that impact policies and/or operations, approves all policies and procedures for the functional area and evaluates results achieved.
