Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $26.00–$28.00 per hour
Warsaw Meadows Care Center is seeking an experienced and organized Human Resources Director to join our skilled nursing facility in Warsaw, IN. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws, company policies, and payroll procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to supporting both employees and facility leadership.
Responsibilities
Maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient payroll system to meet the needs of the facility.
Implement and maintain written policies and procedures governing all human resources functions.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate payroll reports.
Verify employment history, references, and background checks for job applicants.
Enter and maintain employee payroll, personal, and employment information in the HRIS system.
Update employee records, including benefit changes, salary adjustments, and employment status changes.
Coordinate and assist with new employee orientation and onboarding.
Maintain benefit records, including medical, dental, life insurance, voluntary benefits, PTO, and FMLA documentation.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and employment regulations.
Maintain employee personnel files and confidential records in accordance with company policy.
Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits, payroll, and human resources policies.
Partner with facility leadership to support employee engagement, retention, and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Previous Human Resources and payroll experience required; long-term care or healthcare experience preferred.
Experience with HRIS and payroll software.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and employee benefits administration.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
