Job description

As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.
Why Join Q2?
Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology-and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.
What Makes Q2 Special?
Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways through our year-round Q2 ChangeMakers awards program and global moments of recognition and connection. We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun and giving back together. From company-wide volunteer days to events like our Q2 Homecoming Week-featuring learning, community service, and culture-building experiences-we create opportunities to connect, grow, and make an impact.
The Director, GTM Technology & Operations is a newly created leadership role responsible for building and running the operational engine that powers Q2's go-to-market organization. This is a build-and-run position: you will define the operating model, hire and develop the team, and lead the execution of technology, process, and AI transformation initiatives that enable GTM teams to work faster, smarter, and with greater accountability.
This role sits at the intersection of technology enablement, operational governance, and organizational transformation. You will oversee four critical functions - Technology & Tech Enablement, Project Management, AI & Automation Transformation, and Data & Analytics - and work cross-functionally with Q2's Enterprise IT team and AI Transformation Office to align strategy and accelerate adoption.
The right candidate is an operator and a builder: equally comfortable designing governance frameworks and rolling up their sleeves to move work forward. You bring strong technical fluency, a track record of leading through ambiguity, and a bias toward systems thinking over heroics.
Operating Model & Governance
  • Define and implement the GTM Ops operating model - how work gets requested, prioritized, executed, and measured across the team
  • Establish intake, capacity management, and delivery governance frameworks that scale with the organization
  • Build and maintain clear charters, and role clarity across all four functions
  • Partner with GTM leadership to ensure the team is aligned to business priorities and delivering measurable value

Technology & Tech Enablement
  • Oversee the team responsible for GTM technology platforms
  • Own the technology roadmap for GTM Ops - rationalization, vendor decisions, release readiness, and system interoperability
  • Partner with Enterprise IT on architecture standards, security, compliance, and cross-functional systems integration
  • Ensure platforms are configured, governed, and adopted in ways that enable intelligent execution, not just production throughput

AI & Automation Transformation
  • Lead the strategic AI and automation portfolio for GTM Operations in partnership with Q2's AI Transformation Office
  • Build the intake and governance model for AI initiatives - business case development, prioritization, pilot-to-scale design, and value realization
  • Own change management and adoption for AI-enabled workflows across the GTM organization
  • Support the broader team on what stays human, what becomes automated, and what requires human-in-the-loop oversight

Project Management
  • Oversee the PM function responsible for GTM Ops delivery governance, planning cadence, and work management operations
  • Ensure approved initiatives are structured, tracked, and executed with discipline and visibility
  • Drive planning adherence, capacity visibility, and process hygiene across the team
  • Maintain a work management operating model in Wrike that scales with organizational complexity

Data & Analytics
  • Lead the data and analytics function responsible for marketing intelligence, performance measurement, and activation-oriented insights
  • Shift the function from reactive reporting to predictive intelligence that drives business decisions
  • Partner with GTM leadership on metric logic, anomaly detection, and data-driven action
  • Ensure data quality, trust, and activation-readiness across GTM systems and reporting outputs

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the primary GTM Ops liaison to Enterprise IT and the AI Transformation Office
  • Represent GTM Ops priorities in cross-functional planning, governance forums, and technology investment decisions
  • Build strong working relationships with Sales Ops, Finance, and GTM leadership to enable shared outcomes

What We're Looking For
Required Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in GTM operations, marketing operations, revenue operations, or a related field
  • 3+ years leading cross-functional teams, including managing managers
  • Demonstrated experience building or significantly redesigning an operations function - not just inheriting one
  • Strong command of GTM/MarTech ecosystems (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, HubSpot, 6sense, LeanData, Wrike or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with AI and automation program design, governance, and adoption - not just awareness
  • Track record of partnering with IT organizations on architecture, systems integration, and technology governance
  • Experience leading data and analytics teams or functions with a focus on business impact, not just reporting delivery

Skills & Competencies
  • Systems thinker who designs for scale, not one-off solutions
  • Operator's mindset - can move between strategic design and hands-on execution without losing sight of either
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at the executive level
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to create structure where none exists
  • Data-literate and analytically grounded - you make decisions with evidence, not instinct alone
  • Change leader who builds adoption through trust and clarity, not mandate

Nice to Have
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or financial technology
  • Familiarity with agentic AI workflow design or AI governance frameworks
  • Background in revenue operations or Sales/CS technology in addition to marketing operations
  • Experience standing up a junior technical talent development path or automation engineering practice

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
