Job description

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Director of Development to lead major gift fundraising initiatives, manage donor relationships, and support the hospital's fundraising priorities.


Position Type: Direct Hire
Shift: Days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Length of Assignment: 36 Weeks


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 100–150 major gift prospects and donors
  • Cultivate and solicit gifts of $10,000+, with a focus on $100K+ gifts
  • Develop relationships with donors, physicians, senior leadership, and board members
  • Identify and qualify new donor prospects
  • Support grateful patient fundraising opportunities
  • Prepare donor proposals, communications, and stewardship reports
  • Maintain accurate donor records in RE NXT
  • Support fundraising events and hospital development initiatives


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5–10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience required
  • Strong written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
