Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
  • Ability to have strong attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and issues early, manage time, and follow work plans.
  • Excellent investigative skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management.

In this role, you will join the Controllership team, supporting Google One, a business with subscribers and growth for Google One's Artificial Intelligence offering, and Google Photos. This is an opportunity to be part of a team, supporting Google One and consumer Artificial Intelligence business growth initiatives.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $105000 - $151000 (USD) 15% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, revenue recognition, contract reviews, journal entries, product profit and loss preparation, and month-end close for Google One.
  • Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis, Product, and Engineering to build financial systems, streamline workflows, and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
  • Prepare quarterly SEC disclosures, fulfill regulatory compliance requirements, and present financial results and ad-hoc analysis to leadership.
  • Automate and centralize accounting workflows while managing external service providers to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
  • Evaluate financial implications of new business deals and offer actionable accounting direction to Sales and Product partners.
