Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting the Golf Course Clubhouse Coordinator and Manager by actively participating in the administration of the golf facility, including, but not limited to assisting with golf leagues, tournament operations, merchandise sales, outside service operations, golf cart fleet maintenance, driving range operations, marshaling, starting players, building and general course maintenance. Provide exceptional customer service throughout all tasks. Thorough understanding of golf shop operations and policies is a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead by example. Provides customer's assistance with reservations, merchandise, program scheduling, and all golf course sales: assists customers with check-in and payment and resolves customer issues as necessary. Assist in Supervision of all golf leagues, including P.M

Men's League, A.M. women's league, corporate leagues, PM Ladies League and Men's Club events. Oversees daily golf operations in absence of Golf Course Clubhouse Coordinator and Golf Course Manager

Ensures regular communication to management staff and co-workers regarding relevant golf course operations and staffing issues. Assists with tournament operations as directed by golf course management staff. Administers golf course and City policies as directed by golf course management staff.

Opens and Closes clubhouse on daily basis, including closing/counting register and bank deposit's Actively promotes a professional and customer-service oriented atmosphere among all golf course employees. Lead by example. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the City.

QUALIFICATIONS 1 year experience in a service-related field. Must be at least 18 years of age or older by start of position. Working knowledge of MS Office software, POS software and GHIN handicapping system.

Ability to provide excellent customer service relations and positively promote and represent the golf course and the City of Apple Valley. Basic math skills with a keen attention to detail Ability to multi task. Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in sales.

Associate or bachelor's degree in business, recreation, or related field. Supervisory work experience. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Variable Hour position.

Rate of pay dependent on qualifications. Schedule: 8 - 40 hours per week. Must be flexible.

Open 7 days a week, 5:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation
