Job Summary:
ICONMA is an IT Services and Consultant company seeking a Java Full Stack Developer Lead for their Tampa, FL location. The role involves architecting, designing, and developing high-performance full-stack applications, as well as managing microservices and cloud-native workloads.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Architect, design, and develop scalable, secure, high-performance full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
โ€ข Build and maintain responsive, intuitive front-end interfaces using React, modern o JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
โ€ข Build and maintain microservices-based systems with a strong focus on reliability, resilience, and observability.
โ€ข Design, build, and operate event-driven microservices, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, API contracts, and fault-tolerance patterns (circuit breakers, retries, idempotency).
โ€ข Develop and manage asynchronous, event-streaming pipelines using Kafka, including topic design, partitioning, consumer groups, and exactly-once/at-least-once delivery semantics.
โ€ข Deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes, including deployments, auto-scaling, and service discovery.
โ€ข Build and run cloud-native workloads on AWS, leveraging services such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
โ€ข Design and optimize Oracle database schemas, SQL queries, and PL/SQL stored procedures; perform performance tuning.
โ€ข Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and UX partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
โ€ข Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices and coding standards.
โ€ข Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements to system performance and stability.
โ€ข Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation to streamline development, testing, and deployment.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 10+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack Java development.
โ€ข Expert-level proficiency in Java.
โ€ข Strong experience with Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.
โ€ข Full-stack engineering experience with React (and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS) for building responsive front-end applications.
โ€ข Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
โ€ข Hands-on experience designing and building event-driven microservices and distributed messaging with Kafka.
โ€ข Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes and AWS in production environments.
โ€ข Strong Oracle expertise: SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, and performance tuning.
โ€ข Solid foundation in software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
โ€ข Experience with Git and CI/CD tools and workflows.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in the healthcare payments domain (e.g., claims/payment processing, EDI/835/837, remittance, prior authorization, payer-provider integrations) is a strong plus.
โ€ข Knowledge in how AI/ML systems work.
โ€ข Proficiency in Python.
