Position Summary
The Guest Services Team Member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all guests attending events at Blue Arena. This position assists with guest interactions, access control, wayfinding, and event operations while ensuring facility policies and procedures are followed. Team Members serve as ambassadors for the venue by delivering professional, friendly, and efficient service before, during, and after events in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.
This position will remain open until October 30, 2026.
About the Venue
Blue Arena at The Ranch Events Complex, located in Loveland, Colorado, is a 6,800-seat multi-purpose venue, which opened in September 2003, and is home to the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League. The arena, which is owned by Larimer County, is managed by Oak View Group, the fastest-growing firm in the public assembly facility management field with more than 300 facilities throughout the United States and Canada. This multipurpose facility can host hockey, basketball, football, family shows in any configuration, rodeos, diverse concert settings in various capacities, trade shows, and several dozen setups to accommodate just about any event. Blue Arena, less than an hour's drive from Denver and Cheyenne, has become the focal point for sports and entertainment in Northern Colorado. Blue Arena is part of a larger 374,000 square-foot fairground complex called The Ranch, which is the official name of the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex.
Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and helpful direction to patrons.
  • Ensure that the section of responsibility is clean and that all physical equipment is in good working order. Throughout the event, this section should be monitored closely to serve all guests and to respond to any "trouble situation."
  • Check all passes, credentials, and tickets for the correct location, date, and time.
  • Maintaining a safe environment at all times for guests.
  • Enforcing all Events Center policies and procedures.
  • Prepare for each event by acquiring all pertinent show information.
  • Familiarity with the ticketing system and correctly operating the ticket scanners and turnstiles.
  • Moving patrons through the gates and lines of access as quickly as possible.
  • Visually inspecting guests for bottles, cans, or any other item not permitted into the facility.
  • Directing patrons through the proper entrances and areas that allowed for public access.
  • Preventing entrance to emergency exit doors and to all areas that are not public access.
  • Asking and utilizing event supervisors and management staff for assistance whenever needed and reporting all suspicious behavior.
  • Greet and provide direction and assistance to club and suite guests while protecting their limited access areas in the Events Center.
  • Greet incoming guests and accommodate their needs and requests.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a guest services role or similar is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to check passes.
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff on a professional basis.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and select holidays.
