Overview
Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Financial Reporting & Consolidation to join our team!
The Director, Financial Reporting & Consolidation is responsible for enterprise general ledger accounting, including financial reporting, management reporting, and government reporting. As the leader of month and year end close for internal and external audiences, this role also includes corresponding reporting, alignment with key performance indicators, interpreting technical accounting and compliance with GAAP standards. This role emphasizes leadership in accounting and financial analysis without direct responsibility for ERP or system administration.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
  • Assume primary responsibility for all core accounting functions ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place, and all transactions and journal entries are timely and accurate.
  • Provide monthly financial reports in compliance with GAAP to Management and the Board of Directors, including analysis of variances from budget and finance-related reports to government agencies as needed.
  • Support operational forecasts and cash flow updates.
  • Responsible for month and year end close along with progress reporting for key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the annual business plan, including staffing plans and budgets in support of Navitus' strategic and business initiatives.
  • Coordinate preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, leveraging ERP analytics for variance analysis.
  • Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain records on investments, providing periodic analysis of performance.
  • Maintain the fixed asset accounting records, including custodial information.
  • Facilitate accounting and project work for mergers, acquisitions, investments, banking relationships, partnerships, and divestitures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate the annual financial audit, plus the financial aspects of other audits of Navitus' operations.
  • Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations that enhance profitability and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Participate in multi-departmental task forces to improve cross-functional activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What our team expects from you?
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required. Master's degree in accounting or related field of study is preferred.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred.
  • 8+ years' experience, in a third-party-administrator operation related to health care required.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting teams required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in GAAP/IFRS compliance and financial reporting standards required.
  • Proven advanced experience with utilizing financial analytics tools and like programs required.
  • Experience using automated billing platforms and integration with ERP systems required.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
