Director of Field Service – Lead Multi-State Landscaping and Stormwater Operations


Job Overview

  • Location: Morrisville, NC (50% Travel Required)

  • Project Scope: Commercial Landscaping and Stormwater Maintenance Services


The Opportunity

You will serve as an executive field leader, driving operational excellence across a large geographic territory for commercial stormwater and landscaping projects. This role gives you the autonomy to build high-performing leadership teams and directly influence regional contract profitability. You will work within a supportive culture that provides premium compensation, corporate vehicles, and clear paths for long-term career growth.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Manage and develop multiple crews and field supervisors across a distributed four-state territory.
  • Oversee regional service line budgets, labor costs, fleet expenses, and equipment investments to maximize margin profitability.
  • Establish accountability frameworks and performance standards for 30-50+ remote field employees across multiple markets.
  • Lead operational efficiency initiatives and quality assurance audits to guarantee compliance with environmental and stormwater BMP regulations.
  • Support high-level customer bidding opportunities and interface with regulatory agencies to resolve complex service concerns.
  • Maintain corporate alignment, company culture, and a rigorous communication cadence between field leaders and executive management.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ Years of Experience in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Environmental Remediation.
  • Proven success managing 30-50+ distributed field employees and multiple operations managers across multiple states.
  • Strong technical background in stormwater BMPs, erosion and sediment control, drainage systems, and landscape operations.
  • Experience managing regional operational budgets, labor forecasting, and asset fleets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively up to 50% of the time throughout a four-state territory.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Three or more years of direct experience specializing in commercial stormwater maintenance or regional environmental compliance.
  • Proficient in utilizing workforce technology for remote communication, scheduling, reporting, and asset management.
