Job Description

This role is based in our Newton, MA office.

Building on the success of the recent merger launching industry powerhouse Informa TechTarget, we're hiring to supercharge our global event marketing capabilities within our Corporate Marketing organization.

The Events Marketing Director drives the strategy, planning and execution of our event marketing initiatives to generate demand, engage prospects and customers through creative activations, and build awareness of our brand. These include industry events, hosted customer & prospect events, and partner event activations. This role requires coordination across various sales and marketing teams to prioritize, plan and communicate event strategy and planning initiatives. The position reports to the VP of Corporate Communications.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, a project management mindset and a collaborative, and results-oriented approach to lead or support creation of innovative experiences that engage prospects and customers and elevate Informa TechTarget's brand presence. The ideal candidate has experience working collaboratively with sales organizations, business owners and across multiple internal teams, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to change while managing multiple events and stakeholders. They are someone who can deliver marketing and execution seamlessly and understands how to plan and implement strategies that drive measurable results and align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help define, plan, and manage the overall event strategy, including end-to-end management and execution of industry event sponsorships and stand-alone events. Travel as necessary to support on-site events is required.
  • Develop event strategies focused on maximizing Informa TechTarget's brand presence, engaging prospects and customers and generating pipeline & revenue with a key focus on ROI.
  • Lead pre-, onsite and post-event initiatives, including marketing promotion, recruitment, sales outreach, logistics, lead tracking, customer engagement and ROI measurement.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborate closely to determine goals, develop cohesive strategy, and execute on deliverables deadlines.
  • Manage vendor and event agency or partner relationships.
  • Lead messaging and content development delivery for events, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and partners to plan themes, speakers, and formats.
  • Oversee event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective execution.
  • Actively participate in the annual planning process by researching relevant events, demonstrating ROI from previously managed events, and providing recommendations.
  • Work with marketing/creative to ensure consistent strategy/messaging across all event efforts.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience delivering industry and marketing events for prospective customers and clients, preferably in B2B. Digital marketing a plus.
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, teamwork, project management, problem solving, and attention to detail with ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Motivated self-starter that enjoys working independently as well as on a team.
  • Proven track record of leading several events from end to end.
  • Familiarity with SFDC, event management platforms, project management platforms and other relevant software.
  • Ability to project manage with remote contributors and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
  • Highly organized with good follow-through capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.

The salary range for this role is $120,000- $150,000 based on experience.
