The Colleague Relations Consultant manages moderately complex colleague relations issues, applying sound judgment and a thorough understanding of organizational policies. This role also provides strategic guidance and coaching to managers and leaders on effectively addressing colleague-related concerns. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Investigates moderate-risk and moderately complex colleague relations requests.
• Interpret and apply HR policies in nuanced situations.
• Partners with cross-functional teams, including Centers of Excellence (COEs), Legal, and Field HR, to resolve colleague relations cases.
• Guides leaders through the performance improvement process utilizing coaching and development, formal corrective action and decision guide tools.
• Partner with Field HR team to determine need for strategic planning, identify engagement and retention opportunities and execute HHC recommended solutions
• Coordinates case life cycle from opening through triage and resolution; Maintain appropriate case documentation and case tracking
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelors in Business, Human Resources or related field required
Experience:
• 3+ years employee relations experience or comparable experience in the HR capacity
Skills & Abilities:
• Superior customer service orientation and ability to respond in a constructive and timely manner.
• Must be self-directed and motivated. Work with minimal supervision and exercises common sense and strong independent judgment to problem-solve. Has the ability to identify core issues and resolve them via effectively utilizing available resources.
• Consistently works with integrity to develop strong trusting relationships and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn HRIS platforms (prior HRIS experience a plus)
• Willing and able to travel between HHC locations as needed.
