Job Summary

The Electromyography (EMG) Technologist, under the direction of the Director of Neurodiagnostic Services, performs nerve conduction studies and assists physicians with needle electromyography (EMG) examinations in both the neurodiagnostic laboratory and at the patient's bedside. The technologist is responsible for ensuring accurate testing, maintaining equipment, documenting results, and providing high-quality patient care.
Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience performing Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS).
  • Strong understanding of patient anatomy, physiology, and neurodiagnostic testing.
  • Ability to identify normal and abnormal electrophysiological responses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital documentation systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical equipment and resolve procedural issues.
  • Ability to educate and mentor staff and students.
