The Garfield School District is seeking to hire a tenure-track Spanish World Language Teacher. Garfield Middle School covers Grades 6-8. Please include a resume as part of Applitrack application
Requirements:
  • Must have NJ HS Spanish teacher certification;
  • Must complete criminal history process;
Responsibilities:
  • Build students' bilingual skills and enhance their understanding of the Spanish language;
  • Teach students how to build and enhance their foreign language skills--reading, writing, speaking and listening;
  • Cultivate students' cultural awareness by helping them learn a new language;
  • Build students' skill and comfort with engaging in conversation in Spanish;
  • Work with the World Language Department to develop academic and engagement goals for students.
