Job Summary
The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is the chief facilitator for a newly forming Software Agile Release Train (ART). This role is accountable for establishing and maturing the ART operating model, enabling predictable delivery, improving flow, and orchestrating Program Increment (PI) execution across multiple Agile teams and shared services (Architecture, DevOps, Security, QA, Product, etc.). The RTE partners closely with Product Management, System/Solution Architecture, Engineering leadership, and a Scrum Master to launch the train and drive continuous improvement. This role will report into the R&D Director PMO.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Ensure predictable delivery with end to end high level view of the delivery timelineStand up ART cadence and ways of working (ART syncs, System Demo, Inspect & Adapt).Plan and facilitate PI Planning; track PI objectives, risks, and dependencies.Remove systemic impediments; drive cross-team alignment with Product, Architecture, DevOps, QA.Improve flow and predictability using metrics and coaching
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
7+ years in Agile delivery (RTE/Senior SM/Delivery Lead/Agile Coach); scaled experience required. Experience managing Software solutions and practical knowledge of integrated, end-to-end software systems. Proven PI Planning facilitation and multi-team coordination. Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management. SAFe RTE/SPC knowledge preferred; Azure DevOps/Jira experience. Engineering or similar degree in computer Science or equivalent preferred.

The range for this position is $83,000 to $149,000. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
