Las Vegas Desert Dogs
Title:
Director, Digital Marketing & Paid Media
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Date: March 5, 2026
SUMMARY
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs are currently in their fourth season of play in the 14-team National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team is co-owned by Wayne Gretzky, Dustin Johnson, Steve Nash, and Joe Tsai and plays nine home games at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada.
The Director, Digital Marketing & Paid Media will lead the organization's digital growth strategy, overseeing paid media, digital marketing performance, and fan lifecycle marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for driving revenue across ticket sales, merchandise, and fan engagement by developing and executing data-driven digital campaigns.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this position will oversee paid media strategy across multiple digital platforms while managing lifecycle marketing initiatives including email, SMS, website optimization, landing pages, and marketing automation. The role will focus heavily on performance marketing, lead generation, and conversion optimization to maximize return on marketing investment and grow the Desert Dogs fanbase.
Success in this role will be measured by ticket revenue driven through digital channels, growth of the team's fan database, cost-per-acquisition metrics, and return on advertising spend across all digital marketing campaigns.
JOB DESCRIPTION - WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of all paid media campaigns to drive ticket sales, merchandise revenue, fan acquisition, and database growth.
• Own the digital ticket sales funnel, from fan acquisition and lead capture through retargeting, conversion, and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
• Manage paid digital advertising campaigns across platforms including Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, Connected TV, programmatic display, SEM, and paid social, ensuring strong performance and efficient budget allocation.
• Oversee Connected TV advertising campaigns through MNTN, optimizing placements, audience targeting, and performance.
• Strategically allocate and manage paid media budgets across campaigns, continuously optimizing performance to maximize return on ad spend.
• Analyze campaign performance, attribution data, and audience insights to improve conversion rates and maximize campaign ROI.
• Develop and execute digital lifecycle marketing strategies including email, SMS, retargeting, and marketing automation campaigns that nurture fans from lead acquisition through ticket purchase and retention.
• Manage digital infrastructure that supports campaign performance including landing pages, conversion funnels, and website marketing integrations.
• Utilize HubSpot to manage fan data, segmentation, lifecycle campaigns, and marketing automation strategies.
• Track and analyze social media performance and engagement metrics using Ripple to inform digital campaign strategy and fan growth initiatives.
• Work closely with the ticketing, partnerships, and merchandise teams to support revenue-driving initiatives and promotional campaigns through targeted digital marketing strategies.
• Coordinate the development of digital advertising assets by partnering with internal creative teams to ensure campaigns are compelling, on-brand, and conversion-focused.
• Monitor industry trends, platform innovations, and digital marketing best practices to continuously evolve campaign strategy.
• Maintain relationships with media partners, advertising vendors, and technology platforms to ensure optimal placements and campaign performance.
• Provide regular reporting and performance insights to leadership, including campaign results, ROI analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure that all sales and marketing messages are delivered in a timely and coordinated manner across digital channels.
• Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE PROFILE - WHO YOU ARE:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or performance marketing, preferably in sports, entertainment, ecommerce, or live events.
• Proven experience managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across Meta and Google platforms.

• Experience working within CRM platforms such as HubSpot to execute lead generation, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
• Experience executing email marketing and SMS campaigns designed to drive revenue and fan engagement.
• Familiarity with landing page development, conversion funnels, and digital performance analytics.
• Experience using Ripple or similar tools to evaluate campaign and content performance.
• Experience working with Connected TV or programmatic advertising platforms such as MNTN or comparable media buying platforms.
• Experience collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to drive advertising and marketing decisions.
