Job description

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a technical leader with deep AWS and AI infrastructure expertise to join our team as a Principal DevOps Engineer. This role plays a key part in architecting and driving cloud and AI infrastructure strategy across AWS and private cloud environments, setting the platform standards that make Bedrock-backed agents, agentic workflows on AgentCore, and high-throughput LLM serving reliable, secure, and cost-efficient at enterprise scale.


What You Will Do as a USANA Principal DevOps Engineer

  • Architect and articulate cloud and AI platform strategies and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Lead team members, manage work, and set technical direction for cloud infrastructure and AI platform practices

  • Collaborate with the Architect Owner and Enterprise Architect to define, design, and validate solutions architecture for platform and AI application workloads on AWS

  • Define platform standards for AI workload deployment, including model versioning, inference serving patterns, cost-per-inference governance, and AI API reliability

  • Administer Amazon EKS at enterprise scale, including multi-cluster federation and AI workload scheduling policies

  • Design observability strategies with Dynatrace, including service performance SLOs, cost dashboards, and incident response


Background and Skills You Will Need

  • 8+ years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure role

  • 8+ years administering Amazon EKS or Kubernetes at enterprise scale

  • Skilled in scripting with Bash and Python, backed by 8+ years of hands-on experience

  • 8+ years managing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar

  • 8+ years working with AWS services, including EC2, VPC, S3, EKS, IAM, CloudFront, ALB/NLB, and RDS

  • 8+ years designing Infrastructure as Code and cloud native architecture with Terraform and AWS CDK

  • 8+ years administering Linux systems

  • Proven mastery of AWS cloud and AI infrastructure, including Bedrock, AgentCore, and cloud-native architecture patterns

  • Strong experience with Dynatrace and enterprise observability strategy, including monitoring AI workloads

  • Well-versed in CIS, NIST, and SOX compliance frameworks and audit processes

  • Comfortable applying cloud native principles, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps

  • Strong experience with centralized logging tools such as CloudWatch and Dynatrace

  • Strong networking experience, including AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, security groups, load balancing, and routing

  • Solid grasp of security governance and compliance for cloud and AI systems

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers at multiple levels

  • Experience deploying and operating agentic AI systems on AWS, including AgentCore and Bedrock Agents

  • Experience with service discovery tools such as AWS Cloud Map and Consul
