Job description

Client Accounting Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data & manual invoice entry
  • Prepare daily deposits for multiple client accounts
  • Post client checks & ACH payments
  • Issue client claim payments
  • Enter transactions in account register
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Review daily banking transactions for accuracy
  • Generate & distribute various client account history reports
  • Assist & prepare various client account analysis reports
  • Assisting the Accounting Manager, Reporting department, and other assistants as needed
  • Filing, mailing, and other duties as needed

Client Accounting Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Able to use 10-key by touch and handle high volumes of daily data/information
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Able to analyze financial records and transfer information
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize & handle multiple time-sensitive tasks
  • Strong written and verbal skills for professional communications with co-workers and clients
  • Demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Excel & Office Suite required; advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Assists team members when needed to complete projects & meet deadlines

Education and Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in finance related field preferred; will consider experience in lieu of education
  • 3+ years of proven accounting/bookkeeping experience (payables, receivables, billing)
