Anticipated Director of Curriculum
Long Hill Township, a student-focused, learning-centered district with a strong commitment to high expectations, is searching for a Director of Curriculum. This 12-month administrative position in our PK-8 Morris County district is available August 1, 2026.
Applications will be accepted until July 15, 2026 or until a suitable candidate is found.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications:
  • Must possess a New Jersey Principal Certificate (CE or Standard).
  • Proven experience as an educational leader with a team-oriented commitment to deeper learning, a culture of inquiry, data-informed decision-making, and collaboration.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum development, NJSLS and NJSLA, assessment, data analysis, and instructional coaching.
  • Commitment to and experience with MTSS.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in literacy, math, and STEAM.
  • Experience leading faculty meetings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Successful experience as a supervisor or principal preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with I&RS and 504's
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, revision, and implementation of curricula, ensuring alignment with NJSLS.
  • Plan, design, and deliver professional-development opportunities in collaboration with faculty and administrative leadership team.
  • Promote student-centered learning and instructional strategies that are rooted in research and best practices.
  • Oversee observation and evaluation practices in the district.
  • Support decision-making with data, and provide data analysis to support ongoing progress
  • Oversee state-mandated data submissions and reporting.
  • Serve in other district leadership roles, including liaison to the Board's Student Achievement Committee and to the regional articulation team.

Salary and Benefits:
  • Ranging from $120,000 to $145,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Health benefits as per the existing collective negotiations agreement.
  • Enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF).
  • Sick, personal, and vacation leave.
