Job description

The Director of Curriculum & Instruction provides strategic leadership in curriculum development, instructional practices, professional development, and scholar achievement. This role ensures that Global Leadership Academy Schools' educational programs are innovative, research-based, and aligned with the institution's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a vision for high-quality teaching and learning, overseeing curriculum design, instructional coaching, and the integration of innovative strategies.
  • Design and manage professional development programs to support educator growth and instructional excellence.
  • Collaborate with school leaders to set achievement goals, analyze performance data, and ensure programs meet diverse learning needs while promoting equity.
  • Oversee Directors of Instruction to align academic initiatives and partner with leadership teams to drive scholar success.
  • Foster continuous improvement by staying current with educational trends and maintaining strong community and family partnerships.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or Educational Leadership.
  • 5-10 years of experience in instructional leadership, curriculum development, or academic administration.
  • Expertise in curriculum design, instructional coaching, and data analysis, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in charter, private, or public school leadership.
  • Proven success in professional development and understanding of culturally responsive pedagogy.
