Job description

UNM Parking andTransportation Services is seeking an energetic, customer-friendly individualwith strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills tosupport a variety of functions within our Business Operations division. This isa fast-paced, service-oriented role ideal for a motivated student with apassion for sustainability and helping others.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Communicating parking, transportation, and bike valet information to customers
  • Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely
  • Supporting the Bike Valet program, including:
  • Standing for extended periods (up to 4+ hours)
  • Operating outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Tagging and retrieving bicycles efficiently and carefully
  • Assisting with special events, including evenings and weekends
  • Staffing the Transportation Information Center in the Student Union Building (SUB)
  • Performing data entry and helping maintain customer records and files
  • Participating in promotional and sustainability-related outreach activities
  • Completing other duties as assigned to support the department

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a current student at the University of New Mexico enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, in a degree seeking program.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Availability to work at least a 4-hour shifts
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
