The company was founded in 2010 by CEO, Ryan Harwood and is now part of VaynerX, the Gary Vaynerchuk-owned holding company.
The Senior Director, Creative Strategy is a dual-threat leader who sits at the intersection of cultural insights, business strategy, and creative execution. You are responsible for leading the strategic vision for our most complex accounts while simultaneously acting as a creative steward to ensure our work is not only insights-driven but also culturally resonant and platform-native. You are a trusted advisor to savvy, sophisticated clients, known for your poise, your ability to speak both the language of business strategy and creative ideation, and your capacity to turn abstract insights into high-impact, measurable creative campaigns.
Core Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Creative Leadership:
    • Bridging the Gap: Serve as the connective tissue between strategic rigor and creative execution. Whether leading with a strategic approach or a creative concept, you ensure the two are seamlessly integrated, guaranteeing that every big idea is grounded in data and every insight is brought to life through compelling storytelling.
    • Creative Ideation & Framing: Lead brainstorms with expert, culturally-relevant creative thinking. Translate cultural insights into compelling campaign narratives and guide teams to connect these insights to client briefs to ensure ideas are sellable and actionable.
    • Creative Stewardship: Operate as a senior creative voice in the room. Provide sound feedback on creative concepts, maintain brand consistency across all deliverables, and ensure the final product meets both creative and strategic criteria.
  • Client & Account Management:
    • Senior Partnership: Act as the primary contact for priority accounts. Build confidence with sophisticated clients by understanding their business goals and serving as a steady, poised partner who can pivot thinking and adjust style when necessary.
    • Communication & Presentation: Lead client presentations with clarity, compelling narratives, and authority. Confidently present the rationale behind creative decisions, proactively offering new solutions and steering client conversations toward long-term brand success.
  • Operational Excellence & Team Mentorship:
    • Team Leadership & Partnership: Lead the Creative Strategy division in all aspects of creative vision, strategic direction, and client communication. Partner in lockstep with the Director, Project Management, who oversees day-to-day operations and ensures your creative and strategic guidance is executed efficiently.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a master collaborator across departments. Recognize key stakeholders, lead meetings to work through complex proposals, and bridge the gap between business goals and creative execution.
    • Operational Optimization: Collaborate with the Director, Project Management to ensure creative processes are efficient and up-to-date. Implement feedback loops for post-sale learnings that integrate into future strategy and streamline workflows for high-volume, high-complexity proposals.

Experience & Knowledge Required
  • Proven Track Record: 10+ years of advertising/creative experience, with a background that demonstrates mastery in both digital/social strategies and creative campaign development.
  • The "Dual-Threat" Profile:
    • If Strategy-First: You possess a demonstrated ability to think creatively, speak the language of social video production, and coach creative teams.
    • If Creative-First: You possess a deep understanding of data, consumer insights, and business dynamics, with the ability to build a strategic rationale behind creative work.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of current marketing platforms (with an expertise of social platforms), digital best practices, and cultural trends (macro and micro). Ability to analyze content performance data to anticipate consumer needs.
  • Presence: A "voice in the room" personality who can manage high-pressure, client-facing environments with poise and confidence.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience building, managing, and inspiring large, cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious company goals.
