Job description

Elevated Shopping enhances the shopping experience through video, LED production, photography, graphic design, and usability design. With a global network of Creative Hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia, Elevated Shopping focuses on video and CGI production, LED production, fashion and product photography, photo retouching, graphic design, automated image acquisition, and image support services. We continuously innovate and set new industry standards for showcasing millions of products across multiple global marketplaces.
We are searching for a Creative Manager who will report to the Creative Hub Manager and lead end-to-end creative production for Amazon's New York Creative Hub. This is a people manager role: the successful candidate will directly manage a team of Art Directors, Videographers, and creative professionals, owning their development, performance, and day-to-day direction. The Creative Manager will oversee project management, coordinate with Producers on production schedules and budgets, and other stakeholders (who are cross-functional partners, not direct reports), and drive creative excellence across video, LED production, photography, and motion content. This person must also have a strong understanding of generative AI tools and their application in creative workflows, as well as LED production technologies.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end creative production for multiple brands and campaigns simultaneously, from concept through delivery
- Define creative needs and provide creative expertise to internal stakeholders and external clients
- Recommend effective production approaches and launch strategies based on past performance, client goals, and studio capabilities
- Directly manage a team of Art Directors, Videographers, and creative professionals; partner with Producers, Digitechs, Stylists, Editors, and 3D Artists as cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Drive timely decisions, clear blockers, and escalate appropriately to accelerate campaign progress
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across concurrent productions
- Provide creative recommendations and insights that inform production decisions and drive increased performance
- Ensure all creative output meets quality standards and brand guidelines
- Optimize campaign workflows and team processes; recommend improvements to cross-team and partner processes
- Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and production partners
- Own people management responsibilities for direct reports including performance reviews, career development, coaching, and hiring; foster a high-performing team culture
A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing production schedules and connecting with your direct reports (Art Directors, Stylist, Videographers) on priorities and blockers. You might join a creative kick-off for a new video campaign, then pivot to reviewing shot lists and storyboards for an ongoing shoot. You'll coordinate with Producers on timelines and resource needs as key stakeholders. In the afternoon, you could be on set overseeing a video production, ensuring all content is captured on schedule, or in a post-production review providing feedback on edits and color correction. You'll close the day by updating stakeholders on progress, conducting a 1:1 with a team member, and planning for the next production milestone.
About the team
Our Creative Hub team is a dynamic group of creative professionals spanning video production, photography, styling, LED production, and post-production. We produce high-volume, high-quality visual content for global brands across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and consumer electronics. We pride ourselves on operational excellence, creative innovation, and a collaborative culture that empowers every team member to deliver their best work.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of digital content management, communications, or content strategy experience
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling and technical workflows
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
- Experience working on or with large-scale, global creative campaigns
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience building, managing and coaching a team in a high-growth environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with one or more of the following industry tools: 3D Studio Max, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance, Unreal, Blender, etc
- Experience with digital asset management tools
- Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
- 8+ years of experience in studio-based creative production environments
- Experience with e-commerce or catalog-scale content production
- Knowledge of color management, retouching workflows, and post-production pipelines
- Experience with business metrics, KPI tracking, and using data to demonstrate ROI of creative programs and inform strategic production decisions
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.
