The Director, Enterprise Business Development leads strategic enterprise client acquisition efforts across the U.S. market. This position is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing large-scale opportunities with leading household brands that invest significantly across media, creative, commerce, customer acquisition, and marketing analytics.
The role plays a critical role in accelerating Mindgruve's growth by building a robust pipeline of enterprise opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships, and positioning the company as a modern integrated partner at the intersection of media, commerce, creative, analytics, and technology.
What You'll Do Here:
  • Develop and execute a strategic enterprise growth plan focused on acquiring large U.S. enterprise brands with substantial media, creative, commerce, and marketing analytics budgets.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities with Fortune 1000 companies and nationally recognized consumer and enterprise brands.
  • Leverage existing relationships within brand marketing organizations, procurement teams, agency ecosystems, and industry partners to generate qualified opportunities and accelerate revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of enterprise opportunities capable of achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Lead consultative sales engagements focused on integrated marketing solutions spanning media strategy and activation, creative services, commerce marketing, retail media, analytics, customer acquisition, and performance marketing.
  • Serve as the lead commercial contact throughout the entire sales lifecycle, including prospecting, discovery, pitch development, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate closely with internal leadership, strategy, media, creative, analytics, commerce, and technology teams to develop customized enterprise solutions and compelling new business presentations.
  • Represent Mindgruve at major industry conferences, executive networking events, agency reviews, and enterprise marketing engagements.
  • Maintain strong awareness of industry trends across media, commerce, AI, data, analytics, retail media, and marketing technology to proactively identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure proposed engagements align with operational capabilities, profitability objectives, and long-term client success goals.
  • Deliver accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and market intelligence updates to executive leadership.
We Need a Person With:
  • 10-12+ years of enterprise business development, agency sales, or strategic partnerships experience within the advertising, media, marketing, or marketing technology industry.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Required experience in a similar new business or growth role at a large independent agency or holding company agency.
  • Proven track record of winning large-scale enterprise accounts and integrated agency relationships with major U.S. brands.
  • Experience working with or selling alongside AI-driven marketing or data intelligence platforms, preferred
  • Existing relationships with major U.S. consumer brand marketers across retail, CPG, financial services, and technology sectors.
  • Experience leading or contributing to formal agency pitch processes for $10M+ accounts.
  • Strong network of senior-level marketing, media, commerce, analytics, procurement, and agency decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding of the modern media, creative, commerce, retail media, analytics, and performance marketing landscape.
  • Exceptional consultative selling, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with C-suite and senior marketing leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial, highly motivated, and results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Ability to synthesize media, creative, commerce, and data into unified business solutions.

Compensation:
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 + Commissions (Pay range is based on a market reference point and potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, experience and geographic location of the individual candidate. The compensation range reflects base rate only.)
Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance; a flexible spending account; voluntary life and accident plans; and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching. We have six office locations in the US: San Diego, California, Los Angeles, California, Covington, Kentucky, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina. We're seeking local candidates (or those open to relocation) who are able to work collaboratively with us in one of our office's; however, based on business needs and unique job functions, some roles may be eligible for remote work.
