Job Purpose
The Director of Quality is responsible for leading the Quality Function for the CIS - Strategic Business Unit (SBU), providing oversight, direction, and governance for all quality-related activities. This includes establishing and maintaining standardized processes, ensuring compliance with organizational and contractual requirements, implementing quality controls, coordinating quality assurance reviews, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and serving as the primary steward for ensuring that the SBU consistently delivers high-quality, reliable, and compliant outcomes across all projects and operations."
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to Vice President of Quality of M.C. Dean and matrixed to the scope's Divisional Vice President.
Responsibilities
Job Scope:
  • Lead the development, deployment, and governance of the SBU Quality Management Framework, institutionalizing the end-to-end quality lifecycle-from project selection through control execution, auditing, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment of all SBU projects with strategic priorities by applying the standardized project-selection criteria, quality engagement charter, and client/regulatory requirements assessment.
  • Oversee the integration of high-risk requirement controls into project schedules and Project Quality Plans, ensuring milestones, checkpoints, and accountability are clearly assigned and executed.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for preventive, detective, and corrective controls, ensuring consistent implementation, documentation, and verification across all projects.
  • Direct project-level and subcontractor-level Quality Control execution, including inspections, testing, records management, and monitoring of adherence to specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Conduct internal quality audits, evaluate performance metrics, and assess adherence to Project Quality Plans, documenting deviations, defects, rework drivers, and improvement actions.
  • Lead the SBU Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program, ensuring root cause analysis, implementation of corrective measures, verification of effectiveness, and closure of issues.
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate lessons learned and best practices, creating a knowledge-management system that elevates quality consistency across all SBU projects.
  • Develop and maintain an SBU-level Quality Performance Dashboard, providing weekly visibility to leadership on adherence levels, risk indicators, defect trends, and priority focus areas.
  • Facilitate recurring quality performance reviews with project teams and SBU leadership, ensuring transparency, early risk identification, and timely resolution of quality issues across the portfolio.
