Job description

TENEX.AI
Enterprise Sales Director, Cloud Security
Wiz | CNAPP | Cloud-Native Security
COMPANY OVERVIEW
TENEX.AI is an AI-native, automation-first Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider built on Google Cloud Security infrastructure. We combine Google SecOps (Chronicle), Mandiant threat intelligence, and Google Threat Intelligence to deliver enterprise-grade defense at scale
We're a fast growing startup backed by industry experts and top tier investors led by Crosspoint Capital Partners and also backed by Shield Capital, DTCP (formerly Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners), Deepwork Capital, and the Florida Opportunity Fund. Seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). As an early employee, you'll play a meaningful role in defining and building our culture. Get in on the ground floor. We're a small but well-funded team that just raised a substantial round - joining now comes with limited risk and unlimited upside.
Culture is one of the most important things at TENEX.AI-explore our culture deck at culture.tenex.ai to witness how we embody it, prioritizing the irreplaceable collaboration and community of in-person work to defend security-conscious organizations against the most sophisticated threats.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a founding role in TENEX's cloud security go-to-market motion. As Enterprise Sales Director, Cloud Security, you will own new business development for Wiz-focused CNAPP and cloud-native security solutions. You will work alongside TENEX's Google Cloud Security co-sell motion, engage directly with CISOs and cloud security leaders, and position TENEX as the MDR layer that makes Wiz deployments operationally complete.
Wiz was acquired by Google (Alphabet) for $32B in 2026, cementing CNAPP as the centerpiece of enterprise cloud security. This role puts you at the intersection of that momentum, TENEX's AI-native MDR platform, and a co-sell motion built for scale.
THE PROFILE
  • A seller who understands the Wiz platform deeply, including the Security Graph, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, and code-to-cloud visibility, and can articulate how TENEX MDR extends and operationalizes that investment.
  • A professional with experience selling into multicloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) where fragmented tooling and alert fatigue are everyday CISO pain points.
  • A relationship-driven closer who can navigate the DevSecOps buyer alongside the traditional security buyer, speaking fluently to both engineering and executive audiences.
  • A co-sell operator who knows how to work within a hyperscaler partner ecosystem, activating Google Cloud, Wiz channel partners, and the Wiz Integration Network (WIN) to drive pipeline.
  • A professional committed to replacing legacy SIEM and fragmented point tools with a unified, context-rich approach to cloud security.
  • Someone who leads with humility but carries the gravitas to challenge the status quo in a customer's cloud security program.
  • Someone who genuinely wants to give good the advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and execute a cloud security sales strategy targeting enterprise accounts across your assigned territory, with a primary focus on Wiz-led CNAPP opportunities.
  • Develop and manage co-sell pipeline with Wiz field teams, Google Cloud Security reps, and channel partners in the Wiz Integration Network (WIN).
  • Engage CISOs, cloud security architects, DevSecOps leads, and procurement stakeholders to position TENEX as the MDR partner that operationalizes cloud-native security investments.
  • Lead discovery conversations that tie Wiz CNAPP visibility gaps to TENEX's AI-driven detection, investigation, and response capabilities.
  • Manage full enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through contract negotiation and close, with deal sizes typically $300K to $1M+ ARR.
  • Collaborate with TENEX Customer Engineering and SOC leadership to deliver compelling technical demonstrations and custom proof-of-value engagements.
  • Maintain pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting in Salesforce; participate in weekly CRO deal reviews.
  • Represent TENEX at cloud security events, Wiz partner forums, Google NEXT, and relevant industry conferences.
  • Travel up to 50% to build executive relationships and accelerate key deals.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Cloud Security Expertise
  • 5+ years of enterprise security sales experience, with at least 2 years focused on cloud security, CNAPP, CSPM, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Wiz platform: Security Graph, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, IaC scanning, container and Kubernetes security, and data security posture management (DSPM).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and the unique security challenges of multicloud and hybrid environments.
  • Understanding of the DevSecOps buyer journey and how to position security solutions that span development, cloud operations, and security operations teams.
  • Experience selling alongside or into the Wiz partner ecosystem (WIN, cloud marketplaces, MSSPs) is strongly preferred.

Sales & GTM Skills
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota in enterprise technology or cybersecurity sales ($500K to $2M+ ARR deal cycles).
  • Experience executing co-sell motions with hyperscalers (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) or strategic ISV partners.
  • Strong command of structured sales methodologies: MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger, or Sandler.
  • Ability to build and manage complex multi-threaded opportunities across technical, security, and executive buying centers.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools (Outreach, Apollo, HubSpot).

Communication & Presence
  • Ability to present to and earn trust with CISOs, CIOs, and cloud platform owners.
  • Strong business case development skills: can translate cloud security risk into financial impact and executive narrative.
  • Comfortable navigating both the security operations and engineering buyer simultaneously.

NICE TO HAVE
  • Active Wiz certifications (Wiz Certified Associate, Wiz Certified Professional, or Wiz CNAPP Sales Specialist).
  • Google Cloud Security sales experience or Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer certification.
  • Background at a CNAPP, CSPM, or cloud-native security vendor (Wiz, Orca Security, Lacework, Prisma Cloud, Sysdig).
  • Experience displacing legacy SIEM and MDR vendors in competitive cloud security evaluations.
  • Familiarity with MDR services, SIEM platforms (Chronicle/Google SecOps, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel), EDR, and SOAR.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Sales certifications such as MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales, or Sandler Training are a plus.
  • Cloud or security certifications (Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Wiz certifications, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
