About the role
  • The Manager, Client Solutions & Onboarding leads the teams responsible for guiding managed IT clients through their complete lifecycle from initial discovery through successful operational transition. This role serves as the bridge between Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience while delivering scalable, standardized solutions.
  • The Manager, Client Solutions & Onboarding oversees all activities related to client discovery, solution validation, onboarding, implementation, documentation, operational readiness, stabilization, and offboarding. This leader is accountable for ensuring clients are successfully transitioned into Les Olson Managed IT Services with complete documentation, clear operational ownership, and a seamless customer experience.
  • This position leads a geographically distributed team of approximately 14 professionals across Salt Lake City, Ogden, St. George, Utah, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of onboarding, implementation, documentation, and transition professionals.
  • Establish team goals, service standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee client solution discovery and requirements gathering in partnership with Sales and technical stakeholders.
  • Validate proposed solutions and implementation plans prior to onboarding.
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new managed services clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate resources across Engineering, Service Desk, Security, and Project teams to ensure successful implementations.
  • Ensure all client environments are fully documented, operationally ready, and meet company standards before service transition.
  • Lead operational readiness reviews and manage successful handoffs to support teams.
  • Develop and maintain standardized onboarding, transition, and offboarding procedures.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies that enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor onboarding metrics and provide reporting on team performance, project success, and customer outcomes.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within Managed Services, IT Operations, Professional Services, or Technical Delivery.
  • Experience leading client onboarding, implementation, project delivery, or service transition functions.
  • Strong understanding of Managed IT Services and service delivery best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed teams and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • ITIL Foundation, PMP, Agile, or similar certifications.
  • Experience with cybersecurity, cloud platforms, networking, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Demonstrated success building scalable operational processes in a growing organization.
