Job description

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Board Certified Thoracic Radiologist to serve as Imaging Director of Lung Cancer Screening within the Department of Radiology.

This leadership opportunity is ideal for a candidate with experience in lung cancer screening programs and familiarity with relevant imaging software platforms. The position includes both clinical responsibilities as a Thoracic Radiologist and can include dedicated administrative time to support the leadership functions of the role. The Imaging Director will play an important part in the continued expansion and growth of Cleveland Clinic's lung cancer screening program, working in close collaboration with our Pulmonary Medicine team, a key partner in the program's success.

Over 2.2 million radiological examinations are performed annually across the Cleveland Clinic health system. At our main campus, the Department of Radiology is committed to subspecialty care, with more than 170,000 chest imaging exams performed each year, including nearly 20,000 thoracic CT studies and approximately 5,000 lung cancer screening exams, as well as several hundred chest biopsies. The opportunity to participate in cardiovascular imaging and percutaneous procedures is available to interested individuals. The department is supported by a wide complement of state-of-the-art MRI and CT scanners. All chest radiographs are acquired digitally, and all imaging is reviewed on PACS workstations.

The Thoracic Imaging section includes a thoracic and cardiac imaging fellowship program, as well as a fully accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program with a total of 32 residents. There is also a 5-year Integrated Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology residency with two residents per year. A one-month medical student clerkship is offered, and approximately 50 medical students rotate through the department each year. The Department is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, and a genuine interest in resident and fellow education is encouraged.

Qualified candidates should be Board Certified in Radiology and have completed at least a one-year fellowship in Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Imaging. Experience with lung cancer screening programs is required, and familiarity with related imaging software platforms is strongly preferred.

This position offers a highly competitive salary that ranks among academic institutions, along with an attractive benefits package and a collegial work environment.

The same vitality that defines Cleveland Clinic extends throughout Greater Cleveland. The region offers a comfortable and affordable place to live and raise a family, strong school systems, and a wide variety of cultural and recreational opportunities. Cleveland's diverse and vibrant metropolitan community adds a unique richness to life in Northeast Ohio.
