The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a Director of Business Development to add to our Dining & Events (D&E) team and work in a hybrid capacity.  As Dining & Events Director of Business Development, you are responsible for identifying and qualifying NEW business opportunities in the multiple lines of business offered by the Dining & Events segment of Elior North America.  You will collaborate with D&E Operations and Finance to determine a TEAM approach to solution selling to  meet the standards of our growing Corporate Dining and Cultural Attractions and verticals.  To develop and maintain relationships with clients and prospects in your territory you must travel; ~40. As the Director of Business Development, you report to the SVP of Growth

What you'll be doing:
  • Build, manage, and maintain a qualified sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, industry engagement, referrals, and relationship development with key decision-makers.
  • Manage all stages of the sales funnel, including lead generation, qualification, discovery, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Lead RFP and proposal processes, coordinating timelines, deliverables, pricing proposals, and presentation development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, operations, finance, marketing, and leadership team to develop customized client solutions.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and opportunity tracking within the CRM
  • Represent D&E at industry event conferences, networking functions, and client meetings to strengthen brand visibility and develop relationships.
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in New Business, "Hunter" role that requires a minimum 6 years' experience in developing and delivering leads and prospects
  • Experience and understanding of the RFP process in the corporate dining and/or cultural attraction division
  • Strategic / Contract Services sales experience
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM(s)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Marketing or Management a plus) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 40% travel required
  • Superior communication, cooperation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically and operate autonomously


Nice-to-haves:

  • D&E specific experience in contract services

Experience/knowledge working with DiSC 

Compensation Range

$130K- $140K plus commission
