Job description

Join Our Team as a Facilities Technician!

We're seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Technician to support the daily operations and maintenance of our growing facility. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our building systems, production equipment, and grounds operate safely and efficiently. This position is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs.

What You'll Do as a Facilities Technician:

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections with strong attention to detail to identify necessary repairs and ensure optimal building performance.

Oversee the general functioning of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire, and security systems.

Support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation.

Develop and execute a systematic approach to cleaning, repair, and preventative maintenance of the building, grounds, production equipment, and facilities.

Independently organize work, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.

Perform and/or oversee routine maintenance and timely repairs, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, light construction, and general handyman tasks.

Prepare the facility for changing weather conditions, ensuring seasonal readiness.

Participate in equipment selection and assist with the facilitation and installation of new production and facility equipment, including proper disposal of outdated equipment.

Follow safe working practices and ensure appropriate use of safety equipment at all times.

Utilize a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively, both indoors and outdoors.

Collaborate with different departments to support facility and production-related projects.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Who You Are:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2+ years of relevant facilities or maintenance experience.

General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.

Self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on policies and operating procedures.

Physical ability to climb ladders, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Comfortable working in a combination of office, manufacturing, warehouse, and shop environments with exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

Trade or Technical School certification.

3+ years of facilities maintenance experience.

Work Environment & Schedule

Manufacturing & Office Environment

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00pm with flexibility as business needs require.

Compensation: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour
