  • LOCATION: Downtown Denver - Capitol Hill
  • SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Some weekends, after-hours work, and emergency response required as needed.
  • PAY RATE: $63,000 - $68,000 per year.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer to oversee the engineering and maintenance operations of a luxury residential high-rise community. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Chief Building Engineer this role is responsible for delivering and maintaining all facilities of a residential high-rise building. General expectation is that this role maintains and preserves the life of all common area equipment, inclusive of both the interior and exterior of the building and complies with all City, County, State, OSHA, and all governmental agency mandates.
What You'll Do
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems including HVAC, AHUs, plumbing, domestic hot water, heat exchangers, pumps, district steam, and district chilled water systems.
  • Monitor building performance using Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Manage work orders and preventive maintenance schedules using BuildingLink or similar CMMS software.
  • Engineering management of a residential multifamily facility; including common areas, amenity space and parking garage, and occupied homes.
  • Implement and maintain all required maintenance SOPs as directed by GM and VP of Risk Management.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and keep current all building component inspections.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with outside vendors, residents and the client.
  • Coordinate contracted services and repairs, alongside the CBE.
  • Keeps complete and accurate records of all maintenance requests submitted, commented on, and completed.
  • Must be available for "on-call" after hours, weekends, and holidays. Will need to be available for emergencies, as needed.
  • Ensures all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing assigned duties.

Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is essential.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience in HOA, multifamily or residential high-rise projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, life safety systems, and mechanical operations
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and building inspections
  • Some experience with Building Link and Vantaca building management software.
  • An understanding that condo construction is not complete and will take place over the next several months. This requires a need to deal with partial occupancy issues that impacts how the building systems are managed and operated.
