Details:
BI Developer
Location: Houston, TX - 2-3 days a week onsite
Duration: Full time / Direct Hire
This position is responsible for the business intelligence (BI) and reporting solutions for the company. The incumbent shall manage customer relationships and ensure highest level of customer satisfaction and be accountable for the successful implementation, maintenance, continuous and reliable operation of a CVR's Business Objects, Power BI including the supporting data and code. The person shall supervise contractors and consultants and work with vendor consultants for the business intelligence program. A clear understanding of advanced analytics and functional reporting will be required. This position will report to Manager Reporting and BI.
Experience Requirements
  • 7 years minimum progressive experience in enterprise development, Business Intelligence and Reporting
  • At least 3 to 5 years of demonstrated use of PL/SQL and T-SQL, usage of SQL Developer and SSMS tools or alike
  • Proven work record in design and implementation of enterprise data architectures and business intelligence solutions
  • Hands on experience with Power BI, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Data warehousing, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and have 3-5 years' experience of programing and administration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of functional and technical requirements specification writing.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of IT applications and database systems with ERP and non- ERP systems; knowledge of Oracle EBS, Maximo, PI, Clear SCADA is a plus
  • Understanding of business process and flow and how BI systems relate and interact with those flows
  • Fluent in English, oral and written
  • Must lead, direct, and supervise outsourced vendors
  • Ability to adjust work schedule to meet business needs and objectives
  • Travel as necessary

Major Accountabilities
  • Implement and maintain Business intelligence systems to support the organization's business needs
  • Gather requirements, design, and develop new reports or existing report enhancements
  • Help define and determine Business Intelligence direction for the enterprise
  • Manage the Business intelligence program, including Applications, Databases, and Infrastructure
  • Work with other IT department heads to ensure all work groups understand all aspects of the Coffeyville resources Business intelligence program.
  • Initiate and manage information systems BI training programs presented to internal business groups
  • Manage and administer BI Security
  • Research IT issues related to Business intelligence.
  • Collaborates with our partner organizations and vendors
  • Supervise, motivate, and mentor any assigned staff
  • As part of IT Team, address and resolve Service Now tickets
  • Respond to BI and Report tickets within specified time as part of SLA
  • Update tickets daily
  • Escalate tickets to BI and Reporting Manager or Director if no progress after 3 days
  • Work with "Production Controls team" for Staging and Production installs
  • Available to assist on monthly maintenance outages as needed
  • Available to assist on Disaster Recovery Projects
  • Assist on ASG (Applications Support Group) team initiatives - ex. How-Tos; process flow; etc.
  • Manage customer relationships and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain documentation on BI solutions in the enterprise
