Responsibilities

The Principal, Delivery Lead is accountable for leading the successful execution of AI engagements across CBIZ Technology's client portfolio. This role ensures delivery excellence, engagement profitability, client satisfaction, and consistency in solution implementation. The Principal, Delivery Lead works across cross-functional teams to align project delivery with client objectives, regulatory considerations, and firm standards.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client expectations and scope.
  • Provide oversight of project teams, delivery methodologies, resource allocation, and issue resolution across multiple engagements.
  • Collaborate with market development, architecture, engineering, and governance leaders to deliver integrated AI solutions.
  • Manage client relationships throughout engagement delivery, including status communication, risk mitigation, and escalation management.
  • Drive delivery standards, process improvement, and reuse of leading practices across projects and teams.
  • Support financial management of engagements, including forecasting, utilization, margin oversight, and change management.
  • Model strong leadership, client service, and professional integrity in all work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business, accounting, technology, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience leading AI, analytics, automation, or enterprise technology delivery engagements.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-workstream client programs with complex stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Experience with engagement financials, delivery governance, and quality assurance in a consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of AI lifecycle management, implementation risks, and responsible AI practices.
  • Relevant project management or delivery certifications preferred.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 6 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
