K-12 Practice Director - Architecture (Hybrid)

We are partnering with an established, multi-disciplinary architecture firm seeking a licensed architect to support and grow its K-12 education practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced architectural professional with experience in business development, project leadership, client engagement, and team mentorship.

Salary: $144,000-$174,000, plus a comprehensive benefits and incentive package. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, skills, education, and certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Support business development efforts and strategic pursuits to help win new work
  • Oversee K-12, Higher Education, and Municipal project teams in coordination with the Studio Head
  • Represent the firm at K-12, Higher Education, and Municipal conferences and participate in studio management discussions
  • Mentor and support architectural staff while overseeing project design, documentation, and production
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Manage projects and workflows from business development through construction administration
Qualifications
  • Licensed Architect in Virginia or Maryland required
  • LEED AP preferred
  • 10+ years of architectural experience with K-12, Higher Education, or Municipal projects
  • Experience managing projects from business development through construction administration
  • Experience mentoring both experienced and junior staff
  • Strong knowledge of K-12, Higher Education, and Municipal design principles and project delivery
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and consultants
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
