Job description

Our AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team is looking for a results-oriented leader to manage and lead the team responsible for the operational support, performance management, supplier development, and lifecycle management of key AWS compute and networking self-build products. In this role you will lead internal engagements across Supply Chain, Engineering and Business organizations while diving deep into the technologies and operations both from a product and Supply Chain perspective. You will work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Product operations, Hardware engineering, Tooling Engineering, Manufacturing Design Engineering, DFx, Test Engineering and other cross-functional teams to develop.

You will analyze trends involving the industry players - vendors, customers, and technology to develop strategies to secure supply, reduce cost, minimize risk, and utilize emerging opportunities, allowing AWS to meet and exceed its goals.
In this role you will lead a global team of sourcing and supply chain managers in the AWS Network Infrastructure Sourcing and Procurement team, collaborating with leaders across engineering, finance, legal and capacity delivery teams across Amazon Web Services to deliver critical Networking Hardware and Software to power AWS datacenters. You will develop and build a strong team of leaders, and direct/indirect reports to drive solutions to some of the company's most challenging business issues. This role is expected to develop a strategic procurement roadmap, lead and own executive relationships with key suppliers and partners, drive critical contracts and negotiate terms, and utilize data to drive vendor behavior, increasing the overall value to Amazon.
The leader of this organization is a strategic thinker responsible for developing sourcing plans and clear actions to drive the lowest total cost of ownership fueling the exponential growth across AWS data centers

In this role, the leader will lead the organization while diving deep into the technologies and operations both from a product and supply chain perspective. The ideal candidate will have a large-scale technical supply chain management background, be detail-oriented, skilled at global supply chain strategies, and excel in creative problem solving, negotiations and program management. They will have a wide range of responsibilities including strategic sourcing, negotiating contracts, forecasting and strategic planning, collaborating with key vendors to improve performance and lead times etc.
They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, creatively solve complex issues and build scalable mechanisms of continuous improvement

This position will serve as a key member of the AWS supply chain organization which includes creating an inclusive and engaged team and supporting the career development of their team members, and continually raise the bar when recruiting for the organization. About the team
The team manages the supply chain, procurement and technology roadmaps for most of the Networking and Silicon components that go into all AWS servers and networking equipment ( i.e. ASICs, Silicon photonics, switches, cables c). We partner with Networking and HW Engineering and internal customers such as EC2 and EBS to define AWS future HW roadmaps
