Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives on building, integrating, and supporting the systems that power real-world impact?
The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is seeking an Engineer, Enterprise & Integration Solutions (E&IS)-an individual contributor based in Austin, TX. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain the enterprise application ecosystem and integration layer that support core foundation operations. You'll work directly with Finance, HR, Legal, Operational Excellence, and Program teams across global offices to deliver secure, reliable platforms and integrations that enable measurable business outcomes.
About the Role:
You'll be at the center of delivery, collaborating with stakeholders to understand the problem at hand, solving technical challenges, and ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. You'll own critical integrations, drive projects from requirements through release, and support the platforms that keep our mission moving.
What You'll Do
• Design and build automation and productivity solutions using Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Purview.
• Architect and maintain integrations with iPaaS (e.g., Boomi), RESTful APIs, and webhooks-defining standards for error handling, observability, and performance.
• Support and extend enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Agiloft, Workday), ensuring reliability and seamless integration.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to configure and enhance platforms, aligning with business needs.
• Lead cross-functional delivery efforts by managing scope, timelines, QA, and risk mitigation for enterprise initiatives.
• Document and maintain governance frameworks to support consistent execution.
• Oversee vendor and partner relationships for enterprise platforms and integration services.
• Promote user adoption and change management through communications, training, and post-release support.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• 4-8 years of direct experience delivering enterprise applications and integrations in matrixed environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to navigate ambiguity and deliver practical solutions.
• Collaborative communicator who aligns technical and business objectives.
• Committed to clean, maintainable, and testable configurations and integrations.
• Customer-focused, composed under pressure, and eager to learn new technologies.
Key Skills and Experience
• 4+ years building solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (certifications a plus).
• 3+ years designing and managing RESTful API services and orchestrating integrations.
• 3+ years with secure development practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support.
• 2+ years leading structured planning and documentation across cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with iPaaS (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft) and enterprise-grade applications (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite) preferred.
