Hardenbergh Insurance Group is seeking a Personal Insurance Division Manager to lead our Personal Lines Division in Marlton/Vineland, NJ.
This leadership role is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the Personal Lines Department. This role requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to exercise independent judgment to drive business success in alignment with agency policies, procedures, and goals.
What You'll Do:
(Staff Management)
- Assess staffing needs and lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding/offboarding processes
- Develop and implement training schedules for new hires
- Provide leadership, oversight, and coaching to ensure team productivity and professional growth
- Conduct performance evaluations, including annual reviews and quarterly feedback
- Manage employee PTO/Flex time approvals
- Address personnel issues in a timely and compliant manner
- Oversee intern programs where applicable
(Department Leadership)
- Develop, implement, and monitor department policies and procedures
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, carriers, and products—and communicate updates to the team
- Partner with Sales Leadership and Finance to drive new business initiatives
- Set annual department goals and track progress through quarterly assessments
- Maintain strong relationships with preferred carriers
- Create and maintain documented workflows
- Lead department meetings (minimum quarterly)
- Audit team performance to ensure compliance with procedures
- Support carrier consolidation and book roll initiatives
- Serve as liaison to service center carriers
- Execute special projects as needed
(Organizational Leadership)
- Serve as a member of the Leadership Team
- Collaborate across departments to resolve operational challenges
- Support strategic initiatives as assigned by executive leadership
