The Division Chief will work closely with CNHS and Goldberg Center leadership, primary care faculty and interdisciplinary care teams to successfully develop and implement the strategic vision for excellence in care delivery and community health. The Division Chief will collaborate with the Associate Division Chief and Director, Academic Development and division faculty to promote academic success for the Division, its faculty and related programs. The Division Chief will represent the Division and Goldberg Center in leadership meetings and philanthropic engagement.Minimum EducationMedical Doctor (M.D.) Requires Medical Doctor degree from an accredited medical school. (Required) AndMPH Masters of Public Health preferred. (Preferred)Required Licenses and CertificationsFully licensed and credentialed attending staff category physician on the medical staff of Children’s National Medical Center. Evaluate patient care according to adopted protocol and Quality Assurance program criteria. Participate in evaluation of peers and support staff; acknowledge and report medical and/or other errors as well as participate in efforts to prevent them.Strategy Development and LeadershipSet the clinical and programmatic direction for the Division and its members, in concert with the Center leadership and Chief.Take a leadership role in promoting the activity of the Division to enhance CNMC's clinical and academic reputation within the community. Work, in concert with the institution, on marketing of Division activities.Develop the clinical operational activities of the Division, including activities specific to the Division that affects the operations. This may include intramural as well as regional and national education.Ensure adherence within the Division of the hospital and medical staff bylaws and policies and procedures.Participate in financial planning and budget preparation for the resource needs of the division.In conjunction with the Division Chief, work to best align resources to meet patient demand, participating in philanthropic opportunities, if necessary, for future capital planning and purchases.Track, monitor, and evaluate best resource allocation to patient demand and increase access to the Division.Plan and advance clinical performance to meet value-based care and population health metrics and payment.The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children’s National believes an individual’s base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children’s National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual’s combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
