Support Services of Virginia is currently recruiting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Lynchburg to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community-based programs. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, adaptable, and committed to helping others achieve greater independence and community involvement.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide person-centered support that helps individuals pursue their goals, participate in their communities, and maintain a balance between what is important to them and what is important for them. Schedule & Work Environment
Support Services of Virginia provides services around the clock and is hiring for day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Direct Support Professionals are expected to work a minimum of two weekend shifts each month as part of their regular schedule. Whether supporting individuals at home or in the community, your work helps improve quality of life and promote independence.
Virtual interviews and training are available through Zoom.
Compensation
• Starting pay: $13.50 per hour
• Opportunity for an increase to $14.00 per hour following training completion and medication certification clearance
• All certifications must be verified

Requirements
• Proof of highest level of education completed
• Ability to pass criminal background, registry, and tuberculosis screenings
• Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professional Core Competencies
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
