Job Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing direct support, hands-on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals. 

If you are passionate about providing care and are willing to challenge yourself daily to make a positive impact on the lives of those you care for, we want YOU on our team! 

  • Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment  
  • Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care. 
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.  
  • Complete medication administration and follow medical protocols. 
  • Prepare meals and snacks.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.  
  • Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.
  • Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned
