Job description

At #1 In Home Care, quality and compassionate at-home care is our specialty.  We are seeking reliable Direct Service Workers (DSWs) to provide high-quality care and support services to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will value punctuality and accountability. They will assist with daily living activities, mobility, and provide companionship in a respectful and professional manner.

Available Shifts - 

Gretna, LA Area:


Chalmette, LA

  1. Schedule:  Thursday through Sunday: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM   Schedule:   Weekends Saturday and Sunday, 7:00AM - 10:00PM.  Must have a vehicle for this position.

  2. Schedule:  Overnight shifts on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7PM to 7AM

  3. Schedule:   Sunday through Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  4. Schedule:   Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM - Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Every other Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Must be able to safely operate a Hoyer lift (highly preferred) and assist with client transfers

  • Support personal care needs and maintain a clean environment

  • Promote client independence and dignity
