Job description

Welcome to D NICOLE! We are seeking experienced professionals to fill several positions assisting children, adults, and elders with developmental and intellectual disabilities by enhancing their quality of life for day-to-day living.

Our mission is to provide consumers with dignity and respect by meeting their physical needs and nourishing their social connections with the best quality of in-home care services in the comfort of their homes and community.

Purpose:

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as ADLs. These include daily grooming, meal preparations, risk mitigation, and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the client's individual service plan (ISP).

Essential Duties:

  • Actively engages with individuals at all times and provides all necessary support to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements.
  • Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate, and reports hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors.
  • Assisting with Personal Hygiene and baths.
  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
  • Assisting with running errands and/or transportation (community outings, doctor visits, etc.).
  • Protecting and providing support and guidance to consumers with disabilities.
  • Ensures the safety of self, consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at all times.
  • Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting, data collection and behavior observations.
  • Assisting with community outings and daily living activities
  • Medication Reminders

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$9.00 – $13.00 per hour

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent bending and standing
  • Lifting to 30lbs
  • Pushing and Pulling up to 50lbs
