Job Title: Senior SME - Product Lifecycle Management

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Indianapolis, IN, Remote

We have an opportunity for an IT Subject Matter Expert with expertise in PLM (Siemens' Product Lifecycle Management Software). This role will be a part of the Engineering IT Solutions team and will lead the technical activities associated with the delivery of PLM IT projects for the Rolls-Royce Engineering community. The Engineering IT Solutions team is responsible for the global deployment and support of engineering IT applications.

Although this role is in the US, it is a global role and will support global IT programs in the long term. Initial focus of this role is supporting the delivery of IT solutions to enable CMMC Level 2 certification required by Rolls-Royce US Defense Programs which includes the deployment of an additional corporate instance of PLM. The SME role is key to ensure IT delivery provides a quality solution that meets the needs of the business.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Work directly with the engineering community to understand business requirements and processes as well as help them understand the business change required in line with the IT delivery.
  • Provide a deep understanding of Engineering IT systems and solutions within the global Engineering Solution Delivery Team.
  • Troubleshoot and debug solution components (configuration of system components) and provide complex (tier 3) user support.
  • Recognize alternative approaches for reaching a solution and implement the most appropriate course of action.
  • Able to absorb technical information and communicate effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 7+ years of PLM experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years of PLM experience OR
  • 9+ years of direct PLM experience in lieu of a degree
  • To be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • 10+ years of direct experience supporting or using the Siemens' PLM suite.
  • Experience with the Azure GovCloud environment.
