Job description

Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

This role exists to aid the marketing efforts of the Music Publishing vertical. Its main objective is to continue to grow and execute marketing content for the vertical via the OCP Worship and OCP Music Publishing channels. The Marketing Assistant will execute the day-to-day brand, marketing, and content management related to OCP Worship and OCP Music Publishing, and work under the supervision of the Manager of Music Publishing and Labels Marketing.

WHO WE ARE

OCP is a self-supporting, non-profit Catholic publishing company striving to help people encounter God and His love through music and liturgical resources. At OCP, we value Empathy, Humility, and Passion in our teammates. We also support our employees with great benefits and opportunities for growth. We think it's a great place to be a part of, and we think you will, too. If you are interested in joining our team and have the experiences described below, we would love to hear from you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and updates content on ocpmusicpub.com, including the searchable catalog, composer/songwriter profiles, and licensing request flow.
  • Supports and grows OCP Music Publishing's social channels from a limited existing base - builds a real content strategy and posting cadence, not just maintenance, with the goal of materially growing followers, engagement, and reach around the catalog's licensing viability.
  • Supports and grows the OCP Worship site and its social channels on the same basis - same growth mandate, distinct audience and content voice (worship-leader resources, CCLI/PraiseCharts/MultiTracks funnel).
  • Builds and executes email marketing campaigns aimed at licensing prospects and industry contacts; tracks performance and reports results.
  • Develops promotional materials and catalog presentations to support Manager of Music Publishing & Labels Marketing's direct relationship and business-development conversations with publishers, music supervisors, and licensing partners.
  • Conducts market research and competitive analysis on how comparable publishers and worship platforms market and grow their audiences, and brings recommendations back to leadership.
  • Coordinates with Licensing, Labels, and Creative teams to identify priority songs and catalog segments for promotional focus.
  • Tracks and reports key marketing metrics - follower/engagement growth, site traffic, license inquiries generated, email performance - against licensing revenue goals.
  • Contribute to OCP's organizational health by consistently exhibiting behaviors that exemplify our Core Values of humility, empathy, and passion

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with product and label verticals as needed
  • Works with label group to align on release dates and co-promotional opportunities (i.e. Echo Harbor and OCP Worship)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in developing, executing and reporting on integrated multi-channel marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Experience in marketing execution - content management, social media, email campaigns, basic reporting/analytics.
  • Comfortable managing a website/CMS and a content calendar independently.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to support a senior relationship-building function without owning the relationships directly.
  • Demonstrated experience growing a social audience from a small base - not just managing an established one.
  • Content strategy and execution both required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working for a music publisher or music industry entity in a marketing role
  • Familiarity with music publishing, licensing, or copyright administration

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Estimated starting pay range between $60,200 - $64,600 per year depending on qualifications and experience.
