Job Description
The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the development and engagement strategy by executing thoughtful, donor-centric communications and leading digital marketing efforts. This role is responsible for delivering timely donor communications, managing direct mail campaigns, and driving digital efforts that engage both high-capacity and potential donors. While reporting to the Director of Donor Engagement, this role requires the ability to collaborate within a team dynamic that includes the Director of Donor Engagement and the Creative Media Specialist to ensure consistent messaging, smart segmentation, and high-quality content across platforms. While the organizational focus leans toward major donors, there is room to explore innovative, targeted digital strategies for other donor segments. This position requires someone who can take initiative, execute independently, and bring fresh ideas to the table while staying within the organization's donor engagement strategy.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (email marketing, Google AdWords, social media, web content management systems).
  • Familiarity with website content structure, user experience principles, and Craft/Wordpress website platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to tailor messaging to specific donor profiles.
  • Knowledge of donor segmentation and lifecycle-based communication.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple campaigns and deliverables.
  • Collaborative team member with a commitment to excellence and a Christ-centered mission.
