The Role
We're looking for a data-driven Senior Marketing Manager to own a portfolio of client relationships for one of our major product/service lines and lead a growing team of managers and client associates.The ideal candidate demonstrates strong competencies across analytical, communication, strategic, operational, and team leadership elements. You will be part of a quickly growing business line within SLM, leading a client-facing team and ultimately responsible for the team's correspondent portion of the business line P&L. As a team lead, you will be thinking strategically about client relationship management and helping your team manage new and existing client relationships with a goal of building high-performing direct mail programs. You will also act as a guide, mentor, and leader within the company, supporting your direct reports with various aspects relating to team management and career development. You will be responsible for supporting the business line in areas of future growth, autonomously owning projects in service of revenue and operational growth. You will work with all Share Local Media teams and be an integral part of our mission to make marketing easier for tech and e-commerce brands everywhere.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Own/manage client relationships on one of our major service/product lines
  • Lead tactical and strategic planning on direct mail programs for our client portfolio
  • Support direct reports in ongoing client management responsibilities and marketing strategies, including channel scale and testing optimizations (creative, offer, targeting, and messaging recommendations) and conducting various data analyses to assess campaign performance and inform decision making
  • Evaluate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to grow client direct mail programs, client relationships, and initiatives to drive overall business growth
  • Lead a growing team of direct reports, supporting them with both day to day and long term employee/career development. Support business line leads with succession planning and team growth related initiatives.
  • Autonomously own projects related to revenue growth and cost optimization for business line
  • Bring a forward-looking mindset related to growth strategy including understanding the competitive landscape and developing service/product enhancements or new potential company offerings to optimize client value

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, operations, strategy, account management, or finance
  • Passion for marketing, client relationship management, and leadership
  • Experience leading a team and/or managing direct reports
  • Ability to hire, onboard, train and develop a team with strong sense of leadership
  • Strong sense of urgency and great time management skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Deep understanding of performance-driven marketing; very comfortable with data analytics and applying a data-driven approach to marketing
  • Self-starter and problem solver with a get it done attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage relationships in a constantly changing startup environment
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large groups and representing our company in client meetings with VPs and high-level executives
